Accounting & Finance

This degree trains the professional of the accounting, investment banking, investment analysis and management, management consultancy and financial management areas, and prepares them for more advanced studies.

Professional accreditation​

The graduates of the Accounting & Finance bachelor’s degree program who wish to continue their studies for professional accreditation in the financial or accounting areas can take advantage of a “fast-track” agreement with four professional institutions:

  • Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW)
  • Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ICPAS)
  • Chartered Accountants Australia
  • Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
  • Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)

If the block of courses required for the degree is completed, the student will be exempted from some modules required in the route towards the professional accreditation.

Economics

Thanks to its combination of verbal reasoning and mathematical and quantitative analysis, this degree prepares the student for a career as an economist in the industry, finances, the State, or international organizations. It also prepares the student for other professions in which these skills are valued. This specialization will allow the student to:

  • Have a career as an economist in the academic world, the industry, finances or the State.
  • Cover topics going from the amount of money a household saves and the goods it purchases to the ways the households and businesses in the country interact in order to determine the national production.
  • Acquire a more logical analysis approach in regard to individual and social decision-making.
