Regulations, Requirements and Costs

The students should be fluent in English and enrolled in the double degree programs offered by Universidad del Pacífico (Management, Accounting, Economics and Finance).​

Regulation of Double Degree UOL

Regulation of Double Degree UOL  (for careers in Administration, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business Engineering, and Information Engineering). Approved by the Executive Committee on February 20, 2018.

The Regulations of the Double Degree Program with the Univesity of London under the Academic direction of the London School of Economics indicate the policies and procedures that students must follow to obtain the Double Degree.

Double degree requirements with the University of London

In order to apply to the double degree with the University of London (UP-UOL), the student has to comply with the following requirements:​

  1. Be a current student in one of the first three terms in any of the following programs at Universidad del Pacífico: Management, Accounting, Economics or Finance.

Be enrolled, at the time of registration, ​in one of the first three terms in any of the following programs at Universidad del Pacífico: Management, Accounting, Economics or Finance.​

  1. Have a high academic performance

Each School will assign an Evaluating Committee, which will define the evaluation criteria based on the student’s academic performance during his/her term at Universidad del Pacífico.​

  1. Have a good command of English.

If the student has not graduated from an International Baccalaureate program, he/she will have to certify his/her command of the language by taking one of the following language proficiency tests:

  • TOEFL iBT. A minimum total score of 87 points is required as well as a minimum of 21 points in the Reading and Writing sections and 19 points in the Speaking and Listening sections.​
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS). A minimum global score of 6 points is required and a minimum of 5.5 in each section of the test.
  • Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE).
  • Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE).

All the aforementioned proficiency certificates must be no older than three years at the moment of applying to the UP-UOL program.​

If the student is a graduate of an International Baccalaureate (IB), the following rules will be taken into account: 

  • If the student studied the IB in English, he/she will automatically comply with the language requirement.
  • If the student studied a bilingual IB (English and other languages), he/she will comply with the language requirement provided he/she obtained a score not lower than three (3) in the Higher Level or Superior Level in the English course. If this score was not obtained, the student will have to certify his/her command of the language with the required scores in any of the four proficiency tests (IELTS, CAE, CPE or TOFEL iBT). ​
  • If the student studied the IB in Spanish and took the English course, he/she will have to certify his/her command of the language with the required scores in any of the four proficiency tests (IELTS, CAE, CPE or TOFEL iBT).

Costs of the double degree with the University of London

The student must pay for the following concepts directly to the University of London:

  • Application fee
  • Registration fee
  • Study materials
  • Exam registration fee
  • Continuing registration fee

The costs of the academic fees are paid as the student moves forward in the program. According to the UOL regulations, payments must be made in British pounds (GBP) and are not refundable. UOL accepts the following payment methods:

  • Western Union – Quick Pay
  • Credit or debit card (Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Electron, JCB)​
  • Sterling bank check
  • International wire transfer

Double-degree costs with Universidad del Pacífico

​​​​The student must pay directly to the University of London for the following concepts:

  • Application fee
  • Registration fee
  • Study materials
  • Registration fee for exams
  • Continuous registration fee

The costs of academic fees are paid as the student progresses in the program. As a general rule of UOL, payments must be made in sterling (GBP) and are not refundable. UOL accepts the following means of payment:

  • Western Union – Quick Pay
  • Credit or debit card (Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Electron, JCB)
  • Sterling bank check
  • International bank transfer
