The seminar will provide students with a contextual introduction to the principles of law relating to the regulation of online platforms and of advanced online technologies, in the line of Artificial Intelligence. It will engage with such concepts as data privacy and data protection; it will explore challenges coming out of commercial online settings, social media and the Gig Economy; it will address the challenges of online content moderation and of liabilities burdening Internet Service Providers for the conduct of their users; and it will examine issues with online automation and the implementation of AI.
